Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March last year Bonhams in London held the auction British and European Art, which included the work A music recital during afternoon tea by George Sheridan Knowles. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,530.00 (€ 1,813.99). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Sheridan Knowles achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Little Ones in April 2006 with an auction result of USD 31,200.00 (€ 24,714.83).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion British and European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A music recital during afternoon tea von George Sheridan Knowles zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.530,00 (€ 1.813,99) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Sheridan Knowles erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Little Ones im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 31.200,00 (€ 24.714,83).
