The price achieved of SEK 52,000.00 (€ 5,935.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as SEK 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by George Sheridan Knowles have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Little Ones in April 2006 with an auction result of USD 31,200.00 (€ 24,714.83).

Die Arbeit A peak in the basket von George Sheridan Knowles wurde im Juni 2012 in der Auktion The Spring Classic Sale, Stockholm bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von SEK 52.000,00 (€ 5.935,59) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit SEK 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von George Sheridan Knowles auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Little Ones im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 31.200,00 (€ 24.714,83).
