Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In January 2011 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Master & 19th Century European Art, which included the work Bubbles by George Sheridan Knowles. Here, the upper estimate of USD 20,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 21,250.00 (€ 15,493.98). Other works by George Sheridan Knowles have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 31,200.00 (€ 24,714.83) in April 2006 for the work The Little Ones.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Januar 2011 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Old Master & 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bubbles von George Sheridan Knowles zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 20.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 21.250,00 (€ 15.493,98) einen neuen Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von George Sheridan Knowles haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von USD 31.200,00 (€ 24.714,83) im April 2006 für die Arbeit The Little Ones beobachtet.
