Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2008 Christies in London held the auction The Irish Sale, which included the work Apparell'd in Celestial Light by George Russell. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 32,900.00 (€ 41,850.24). Other works by George Russell have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 42,300.00 (€ 67,875.90) in May 2000 for the work Ring-a-ring-a-roses.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Irish Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Apparell'd in Celestial Light von George Russell zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 32.900,00 (€ 41.850,24) einen neuen Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von George Russell haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von GBP 42.300,00 (€ 67.875,90) im Mai 2000 für die Arbeit Ring-a-ring-a-roses beobachtet.
