The work A Woman With Two Children In A Hilly Landscape by George Richmond was sold in the The Fine Art Society: 142 Years on New Bond Street auction at Sothebys in London in February 2019. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 3,250.00 (€ 3,791.24). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Richmond achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of Sir Moses Montefiore (1784-1885), three-quarter-length, seated at a desk, in a black suit and cap in May 2005 with an auction result of GBP 96,000.00 (€ 141,726.13).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit A Woman With Two Children In A Hilly Landscape von George Richmond wurde im Februar 2019 in der Auktion The Fine Art Society: 142 Years on New Bond Street bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 3.250,00 (€ 3.791,24) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Richmond erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of Sir Moses Montefiore (1784-1885), three-quarter-length, seated at a desk, in a black suit and cap im Mai 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 96.000,00 (€ 141.726,13).
