Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2008 Christies in London held the auction British Art on Paper, which included the work Eton College and Chapel, Windsor, from the Thames, figures on the bank of Fellows' Eyot in the foreground; and Eton College, Windsor, from College Field, the 'Wall' to the right hand side by George Pyne. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,251.45) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Other works by George Pyne have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2020 the work Eton from the North Terrace of Windsor Castle was auctioned for GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,283.63).

Im Dezember 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion British Art on Paper durch, in der auch die Arbeit Eton College and Chapel, Windsor, from the Thames, figures on the bank of Fellows' Eyot in the foreground; and Eton College, Windsor, from College Field, the 'Wall' to the right hand side von George Pyne zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.251,45) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von George Pyne konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Dezember 2020 die Arbeit Eton from the North Terrace of Windsor Castle für GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.283,63) versteigert.
