Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May this year Bonhams held the auction Scottish Art, which included the work Boats in the harbour, Cassis by George Leslie Hunter. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 3,570.00 (€ 4,153.72), 19% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Leslie Hunter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still Life With Tulips And Oranges in April 2009 with an auction result of GBP 433,250.00 (€ 484,118.60).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion Scottish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Boats in the harbour, Cassis von George Leslie Hunter zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 3.570,00 (€ 4.153,72) und damit 19% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Leslie Hunter erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Still Life With Tulips And Oranges im April 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 433.250,00 (€ 484.118,60).
