Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by George Krause achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in September 2006. In the Photographs auction, the work Untitled, c. 1973 sold for USD 2,040.00 (€ 1,607.95) - well above the upper estimate of USD 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Krause achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fountainhead, Philadelphia, 1970 in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 20,000.00 (€ 17,171.80).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von George Krause erzielte im September 2006 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Photographs wurde die Arbeit Untitled, c. 1973 für USD 2.040,00 (€ 1.607,95) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 700,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Krause erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fountainhead, Philadelphia, 1970 im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 17.171,80).
