This artwork by George Krause achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in February 2002. In the Photographs auction, the work George Krause, 1960-1970 sold for USD 5,287.50 (€ 6,107.07) - well above the upper estimate of USD 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by George Krause - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fountainhead, Philadelphia, 1970, which sold at auction in October 2020 for USD 20,000.00 (€ 17,171.80).

In der Auktion Photographs wurde die Arbeit George Krause, 1960-1970 für USD 5.287,50 (€ 6.107,07) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von George Krause mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fountainhead, Philadelphia, 1970 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2020 für USD 20.000,00 (€ 17.171,80) versteigert wurde.
