Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2009 Christies in New York held the auction Icons of Glamour and Style: The Constantiner Collection Part II, which included the work Portraits of Hollywood screen goddesses, Joan Crawford, Veronica Lake (illustrated), Rita Hayworth and Jane Russell, 1932-1946 by George Hurrell. The price achieved of USD 5,000.00 (€ 3,948.82) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Other works by George Hurrell have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2000 the work Hurrell, Portfolio I was auctioned for USD 4,700.00 (€ 5,538.53).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.000,00 (€ 3.948,82) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden.
