Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by George Hoyningen-Huene achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in April this year. In the Photographs auction, the work Divers, Paris 1930 sold for USD 22,680.00 (€ 20,543.48) - well above the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by George Hoyningen-Huene; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Fashion studies, 1939-1942 sold at auction in February 2009 with the realized price of USD 27,500.00 (€ 21,718.53).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von George Hoyningen-Huene erzielte im April diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Photographs wurde die Arbeit Divers, Paris 1930 für USD 22.680,00 (€ 20.543,48) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von George Hoyningen-Huene; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Fashion studies, 1939-1942 im Februar 2009 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 27.500,00 (€ 21.718,53).
