Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Divers, Horst with Model, Paris by George Hoyningen-Huene was auctioned at Phillips in New York in October 2020. Here, the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 8,125.00 (€ 6,976.05). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by George Hoyningen-Huene - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fashion studies, 1939-1942, which sold at auction in February 2009 for USD 27,500.00 (€ 21,718.53).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Divers, Horst with Model, Paris von George Hoyningen-Huene kam im Oktober 2020 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 8.125,00 (€ 6.976,05) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von George Hoyningen-Huene mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fashion studies, 1939-1942 beobachtet, die im Februar 2009 für USD 27.500,00 (€ 21.718,53) versteigert wurde.
