This artwork by George Grosz achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in September 2013. In the Prints & Multiples auction, the work Im Schatten, Berlin, Der Malik-Verlag, 1921 (Dückers M. IV) sold for GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,953.45) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Grosz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Gefährliche Straße in February 2020 with an auction result of GBP 9,740,250.00 (€ 11,288,971.84).

Dieses Kunstwerk von George Grosz erzielte im September 2013 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Prints & Multiples wurde die Arbeit Im Schatten, Berlin, Der Malik-Verlag, 1921 (Dückers M. IV) für GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.953,45) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Grosz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Gefährliche Straße im Februar 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.740.250,00 (€ 11.288.971,84).
