A top price for George Grosz
The work Gefährliche Straße by George Grosz was sold in the Impressionist and Modern Art Evening Sale auction at Christies in London in February 2020. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 9,740,250.00 (€ 11,288,971.84), 50% above the upper estimate. With this result, Gefährliche Straße is even the most expensive work of art by George Grosz that we have observed at auctions so far.
