Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2018 Christies in London held the auction Annabel's, which included the work Study of a pug (i); 'Dot' (ii) by George Earl. The price achieved of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 4,934.87) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Earl achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Brocklesby Foxhounds, Scornful, Prudence, Rosebud and Poesy (from left to right) in November 2000 with an auction result of GBP 30,550.00 (€ 49,932.77).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2018 führte Christies in London die Auktion Annabel's durch, in der auch die Arbeit Study of a pug (i); 'Dot' (ii) von George Earl zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.375,00 (€ 4.934,87) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Earl erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Brocklesby Foxhounds, Scornful, Prudence, Rosebud and Poesy (from left to right) im November 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 30.550,00 (€ 49.932,77).
