This artwork by George Earl achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in November 2005. In the Sporting Art and Dogs auction, the work Duchess, A Pointer sold for GBP 3,360.00 (€ 4,936.26) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Earl achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Brocklesby Foxhounds, Scornful, Prudence, Rosebud and Poesy (from left to right) in November 2000 with an auction result of GBP 30,550.00 (€ 49,932.77).

Dieses Kunstwerk von George Earl erzielte im November 2005 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Sporting Art and Dogs wurde die Arbeit Duchess, A Pointer für GBP 3.360,00 (€ 4.936,26) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Earl erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Brocklesby Foxhounds, Scornful, Prudence, Rosebud and Poesy (from left to right) im November 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 30.550,00 (€ 49.932,77).
