Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Her First Place by George Dunlop Leslie was sold in the Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art auction at Sothebys in London in July 2018. The price achieved of GBP 23,750.00 (€ 26,628.97) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Dunlop Leslie achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pot-Pourri in November 2002 with an auction result of GBP 446,650.00 (€ 699,430.87).
