A top price for George Dunlop Leslie - as previously expected
In November 2002 Christies in London held the auction IMPORTANT BRITISH ART, which included the work Pot-Pourri by George Dunlop Leslie. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 400,000.00 – 600,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 446,650.00 (€ 699,430.87) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Pot-Pourri is the most expensive artwork by George Dunlop Leslie that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im November 2002 führte Christies in London die Auktion IMPORTANT BRITISH ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pot-Pourri von George Dunlop Leslie zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 400.000,00 – 600.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 446.650,00 (€ 699.430,87) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Pot-Pourri das teuerste Kunstwerk von George Dunlop Leslie, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
