Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Matilda by George Dunlop Leslie was sold in the Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art auction at Sothebys in London in December 2015. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 60,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 65,000.00 (€ 88,266.88). Admittedly, works by George Dunlop Leslie have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pot-Pourri in November 2002 with an auction result of GBP 446,650.00 (€ 699,430.87).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Matilda von George Dunlop Leslie wurde im Dezember 2015 in der Auktion Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 60.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 65.000,00 (€ 88.266,88) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von George Dunlop Leslie auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pot-Pourri im November 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 446.650,00 (€ 699.430,87).
