Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work Still Life with Roses by George Cochran Lambdin for USD 5,760.00 (€ 4,306.86). This price was achieved in the auction Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by George Cochran Lambdin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cyclamen in September 2006 with an auction result of USD 50,400.00 (€ 39,725.70).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Still Life with Roses von George Cochran Lambdin für USD 5.760,00 (€ 4.306,86) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von George Cochran Lambdin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cyclamen im September 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 50.400,00 (€ 39.725,70).
