Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2006 a collector was able to acquire the work Reverie--Sunset Musings by George Cochran Lambdin for USD 11,400.00 (€ 8,985.58). This price was achieved in the auction Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by George Cochran Lambdin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cyclamen in September 2006 with an auction result of USD 50,400.00 (€ 39,725.70).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2006 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Reverie--Sunset Musings von George Cochran Lambdin für USD 11.400,00 (€ 8.985,58) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von George Cochran Lambdin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cyclamen im September 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 50.400,00 (€ 39.725,70).
