Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Rehearsal by George Bernard O'Neill was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 24,703.50) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by George Bernard O'Neill - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Market Day, the arrival of the Hippodrome, which sold at auction in June 2004 for GBP 47,800.00 (€ 71,140.72).

Für andere Arbeiten von George Bernard O'Neill mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Market Day, the arrival of the Hippodrome beobachtet, die im Juni 2004 für GBP 47.800,00 (€ 71.140,72) versteigert wurde.
