In November 2013 Christies in London held the auction Victorian, British and Impressionist Art, which included the work Love Me, Love My Dog by George Bernard O'Neill. The auction ended at the price of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 6,016.83), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by George Bernard O'Neill achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Market Day, the arrival of the Hippodrome in June 2004 with an auction result of GBP 47,800.00 (€ 71,140.72).

Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 6.016,83) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von George Bernard O'Neill erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Market Day, the arrival of the Hippodrome im Juni 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 47.800,00 (€ 71.140,72).
