Auction result well in line with expectations

It changed hands for a price of GBP 780.00 (€ 1,158.32) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 500.00 – 800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Georg Majewicz - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Elephants before Kilimanjaro, which sold at auction in December 2005 for GBP 2,160.00 (€ 3,135.12).
