The work A Bull Elephant by Georg Majewicz was sold in the Sporting Art, Wildlife and Dogs auction at Christies in London in November 2006. It achieved a price of GBP 1,320.00 (€ 1,960.24), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 65%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Georg Majewicz; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Elephants before Kilimanjaro sold at auction in December 2005 with the realized price of GBP 2,160.00 (€ 3,135.12).

Die Arbeit A Bull Elephant von Georg Majewicz wurde im November 2006 in der Auktion Sporting Art, Wildlife and Dogs bei Christies in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 1.320,00 (€ 1.960,24) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 65%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Georg Majewicz; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Elephants before Kilimanjaro im Dezember 2005 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 2.160,00 (€ 3.135,12).
