Auction result misses estimated price range
In October this year a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Genieve Figgis for GBP 31,500.00 (€ 36,170.75). This price was achieved in the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 35,000.00 – 55,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Genieve Figgis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Debutants Ball in March last year with an auction result of CNY 4,032,000.00 (€ 573,196.07).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Genieve Figgis für GBP 31.500,00 (€ 36.170,75) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 35.000,00 – 55.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Genieve Figgis erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Debutants Ball im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CNY 4.032.000,00 (€ 573.196,07).
