Auction result well in line with expectations
In November this year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction 21st Century Art Day Sale, which included the work 17th Century Family by Genieve Figgis. The price achieved of HKD 630,000.00 (€ 73,927.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 500,000.00 – 800,000.00. Admittedly, works by Genieve Figgis have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Debutants Ball in March last year with an auction result of CNY 4,032,000.00 (€ 573,196.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion 21st Century Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit 17th Century Family von Genieve Figgis zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 630.000,00 (€ 73.927,39) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 500.000,00 – 800.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Genieve Figgis auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Debutants Ball im März letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CNY 4.032.000,00 (€ 573.196,07).
