In March this year Christies in New York held the auction Post-War to Present, which included the work Saint Barnabas by Genesis Tramaine. The »bidding war« ended at USD 214,200.00 (€ 197,019.87), 43% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Genesis Tramaine - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hosanna, which sold at auction in May last year for USD 441,000.00 (€ 410,958.90).

Im März diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War to Present durch, in der auch die Arbeit Saint Barnabas von Genesis Tramaine zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 214.200,00 (€ 197.019,87) und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Genesis Tramaine mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Hosanna beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für USD 441.000,00 (€ 410.958,90) versteigert wurde.
