In November 2018 Christies in New York held the auction An American Place | The Barney A. Ebsworth Collection Evening Sale, which included the work Standing Woman LF 92 by Gaston Lachaise. The »bidding war« ended at USD 3,732,500.00 (€ 3,296,387.88), 49% above the upper estimate. With this result, Standing Woman LF 92 is even the most expensive work of art by Gaston Lachaise that we have observed at auctions so far.
