Auction result well in line with expectations
In May this year Bonhams in Paris held the auction American Art, which included the work Woman (Striding Woman) LF 126 by Gaston Lachaise. It changed hands for a price of USD 14,080.00 (€ 13,215.69) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gaston Lachaise achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Standing Woman [LF 92|AID104142] in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 3,732,500.00 (€ 3,296,387.88).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Paris die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Woman (Striding Woman) LF 126 von Gaston Lachaise zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 14.080,00 (€ 13.215,69) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gaston Lachaise erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Standing Woman [LF 92|AID104142] im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.732.500,00 (€ 3.296.387,88).
