Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2019 Christies in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Equestrienne LF 22 by Gaston Lachaise. The price achieved of USD 100,000.00 (€ 90,752.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gaston Lachaise achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Standing Woman [LF 92|AID104142] in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 3,732,500.00 (€ 3,296,387.88).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Equestrienne LF 22 von Gaston Lachaise zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 100.000,00 (€ 90.752,34) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gaston Lachaise erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Standing Woman [LF 92|AID104142] im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.732.500,00 (€ 3.296.387,88).
