Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2020 Bonhams in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Woman (Figure with Background) (high relief) LF 65 by Gaston Lachaise. Here, the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 7,575.00 (€ 6,433.67). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gaston Lachaise achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Standing Woman [LF 92|AID104142] in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 3,732,500.00 (€ 3,296,387.88).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli 2020 führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Woman (Figure with Background) (high relief) LF 65 von Gaston Lachaise zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 7.575,00 (€ 6.433,67) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gaston Lachaise erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Standing Woman [LF 92|AID104142] im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.732.500,00 (€ 3.296.387,88).
