Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work Nude In Chair by Gaston Lachaise for USD 23,750.00 (€ 20,389.77). This price was achieved in the auction American Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gaston Lachaise achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Standing Woman [LF 92|AID104142] in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 3,732,500.00 (€ 3,296,387.88).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Nude In Chair von Gaston Lachaise für USD 23.750,00 (€ 20.389,77) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion American Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gaston Lachaise erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Standing Woman [LF 92|AID104142] im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.732.500,00 (€ 3.296.387,88).
