Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Female Figure (Standing Nude, Left Hand Raised) by Gaston Lachaise was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in October 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,721.50) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gaston Lachaise achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Standing Woman [LF 92|AID104142] in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 3,732,500.00 (€ 3,296,387.88).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Female Figure (Standing Nude, Left Hand Raised) von Gaston Lachaise kam im Oktober 2018 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 7.721,50) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
