In January 2016 Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Paintings & 19th Century European Art, which included the work Le Jet D'Eau De Versailles by Gaston La Touche. The »bidding war« ended at USD 10,000.00 (€ 9,231.91), 43% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gaston La Touche achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work L’Entracte in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 175,000.00 (€ 149,957.16).

Im Januar 2016 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Master Paintings & 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le Jet D'Eau De Versailles von Gaston La Touche zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 9.231,91) und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gaston La Touche erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit L’Entracte im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 175.000,00 (€ 149.957,16).
