Auction result well in line with expectations
The work La Démangeaison by Gaston La Touche was sold in the Remastered: Old Masters from the Collection of J.E. Safra - Selling Without Reserve auction at Christies in London in May this year. The price achieved of USD 23,940.00 (€ 22,470.43) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gaston La Touche have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work L’Entracte in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 175,000.00 (€ 149,957.16).
