Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction European Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work La Pêche by Gaston La Touche. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 17,500.00 (€ 15,688.03) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Gaston La Touche have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work L’Entracte in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 175,000.00 (€ 149,957.16).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion European Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit La Pêche von Gaston La Touche zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 17.500,00 (€ 15.688,03) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gaston La Touche auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit L’Entracte im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 175.000,00 (€ 149.957,16).
