Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Infant Moses Trampling On Pharaoh'S Crown by Gaspare Diziani was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in February 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 81,250.00 (€ 66,538.37) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gaspare Diziani - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Alexander And Diogenes, which sold at auction in January 2015 for USD 161,000.00 (€ 142,604.07).
