Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Diana and Endymion by Gaspare Diziani was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in January 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 4,032.00 (€ 3,322.62). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gaspare Diziani achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Alexander And Diogenes in January 2015 with an auction result of USD 161,000.00 (€ 142,604.07).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Diana and Endymion von Gaspare Diziani im Januar 2021 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 4.032,00 (€ 3.322,62) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gaspare Diziani erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Alexander And Diogenes im Januar 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 161.000,00 (€ 142.604,07).
