In December 2017 Christies in London held the auction Old Masters including Old Master & British Drawings and Watercolours, which included the work Elijah Calling Fire From Heaven To Destroy The Soldiers Of Ahaziah by Gaspare Diziani. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 100,000.00 (€ 112,535.35), 67% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Gaspare Diziani; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Alexander And Diogenes sold at auction in January 2015 with the realized price of USD 161,000.00 (€ 142,604.07).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 100.000,00 (€ 112.535,35) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Gaspare Diziani; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Alexander And Diogenes im Januar 2015 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 161.000,00 (€ 142.604,07).
