Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2015 Christies in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale, which included the work The Cascade At Tivoli, With Two Washerwomen Resting By A Path by Gaspard Dughet. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 50,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 56,250.00 (€ 76,384.80) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gaspard Dughet - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A wooded landscape with figures by a river, which sold at auction in April 2007 for USD 324,000.00 (€ 237,188.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2015 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Cascade At Tivoli, With Two Washerwomen Resting By A Path von Gaspard Dughet zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 50.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 56.250,00 (€ 76.384,80) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Gaspard Dughet mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A wooded landscape with figures by a river beobachtet, die im April 2007 für USD 324.000,00 (€ 237.188,87) versteigert wurde.
