This artwork by Gaspard Dughet achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in July 2015. In the Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours auction, the work A landscape with a seated figure by a waterfall in the foreground and a castle on a hill in the distance sold for GBP 20,000.00 (€ 28,353.28) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gaspard Dughet have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A wooded landscape with figures by a river in April 2007 with an auction result of USD 324,000.00 (€ 237,188.87).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gaspard Dughet erzielte im Juli 2015 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours wurde die Arbeit A landscape with a seated figure by a waterfall in the foreground and a castle on a hill in the distance für GBP 20.000,00 (€ 28.353,28) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gaspard Dughet auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A wooded landscape with figures by a river im April 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 324.000,00 (€ 237.188,87).
