Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
This work without title by Gary Simmons was auctioned at Phillips in New York in September last year. It achieved a price of USD 13,860.00 (€ 14,167.43), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 16%. Admittedly, works by Gary Simmons have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bows and Bones in December this year with an auction result of GBP 114,300.00 (€ 131,669.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Gary Simmons kam im September letzten Jahres bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 13.860,00 (€ 14.167,43) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 16%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gary Simmons auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bows and Bones im Dezember diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 114.300,00 (€ 131.669,22).
