Auction result well in line with expectations
The work No Title by Garth Weiser was sold in the New Now auction at Phillips in London in July 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 3,903.98) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Garth Weiser achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 37,500.00 (€ 47,299.29).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit No Title von Garth Weiser wurde im Juli 2020 in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.500,00 (€ 3.903,98) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Garth Weiser erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Juli 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 37.500,00 (€ 47.299,29).
