Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Gari Melchers could be acquired at Christies in New York in October 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Interiors auction, the work A Canal In Holland changed hands for USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,597.62) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gari Melchers achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nellie Kabel in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 221,000.00 (€ 162,023.46).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gari Melchers konnte im Oktober 2013 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Interiors wechselte die Arbeit A Canal In Holland für USD 6.250,00 (€ 4.597,62) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gari Melchers erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nellie Kabel im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 221.000,00 (€ 162.023,46).
