The work Misapprehend by Gao Weigang was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2019. It achieved a price of HKD 68,750.00 (€ 7,825.75), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 38%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gao Weigang - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Superstructure, which sold at auction in October 2020 for HKD 201,600.00 (€ 22,328.84).

Die Arbeit Misapprehend von Gao Weigang kam im April 2019 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 68.750,00 (€ 7.825,75) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 38%. Für andere Arbeiten von Gao Weigang mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Superstructure beobachtet, die im Oktober 2020 für HKD 201.600,00 (€ 22.328,84) versteigert wurde.
