Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Superstructure by Gao Weigang for HKD 37,500.00 (€ 3,955.44). This price was achieved in the auction Modern and Contemporary Art Afternoon Session at Christies in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Gao Weigang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Superstructure in October 2020 with an auction result of HKD 201,600.00 (€ 22,328.84).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Superstructure von Gao Weigang für HKD 37.500,00 (€ 3.955,44) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art Afternoon Session bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gao Weigang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Superstructure im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 201.600,00 (€ 22.328,84).
