A top price for Gao Weigang
The work Superstructure by Gao Weigang was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2020. It achieved a price of HKD 201,600.00 (€ 22,328.84), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 34%. With this result, Superstructure is even the most expensive work of art by Gao Weigang that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Superstructure von Gao Weigang wurde im Oktober 2020 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 201.600,00 (€ 22.328,84) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 34%. Mit diesem Ergebnis ist Superstructure sogar das teuerste Kunstwerk von Gao Weigang, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
