Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Scholar and Attendant by Gao Qipei was sold in the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2017. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 60,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 68,750.00 (€ 7,401.98). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gao Qipei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fish in May 2019 with an auction result of HKD 5,165,000.00 (€ 591,132.84).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Scholar and Attendant von Gao Qipei wurde im November 2017 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 60.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 68.750,00 (€ 7.401,98) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gao Qipei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fish im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.165.000,00 (€ 591.132,84).
