Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2021 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings, which included the work Landscape After Jiang Cen by Gao Qipei. The price achieved of HKD 945,000.00 (€ 101,177.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 800,000.00 – 1,200,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gao Qipei have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Fish in May 2019 with an auction result of HKD 5,165,000.00 (€ 591,132.84).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2021 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape After Jiang Cen von Gao Qipei zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 945.000,00 (€ 101.177,06) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 800.000,00 – 1.200.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gao Qipei auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Fish im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.165.000,00 (€ 591.132,84).
